Our special tip: Ginseng tea!If you are jaded from a stressful day or you want to relax and fill up your energy reservoir, a cup of ginseng tea with its tonic and immune system supporting qualities can "work wonders"!
How to prepare it:
Open a FloraFarm ginseng capsule, put the substance in a cup and douse it with 0,2 l hot (not cooking) water. If necessary, you can sweeten it with honey. Delicious and healthy!
Alternatively, you can also use the ginseng roots and leave them to infuse for about 20 minutes.
FloraFarm - chosen landmark in the initiative "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas"
This contest, entering its third year, clearly shows that “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas”, Germany’s largest event series, encourages creative places and the development of their ideas. It continues the project partnership between the “Germany – Land of Ideas” nation-branding initiative and Deutsche Bank.
The term “landmarks” is used to describe initiatives, institutions, clubs and associations where innovations are developed and ideas are created, e.g. public and private institutions, universities and research institutes, and companies, as well as social and cultural projects. The idea of ginseng pioneer Heinrich Wischmann - cultivation of genuine korean ginseng in the Lüneburger Heide - is so unique, that FloraFarm has been chosen to represent one of the 366 landmarks in the "land of ideas" in 2008.
All “landmarks” will be presented in a book in early 2008. The collection will be published by DuMont and will be available in bookstores.

In 2007 we celebrated our jubilee!25 years of ginseng-growing in Germany!
Since 25 years genuine Korean ginseng is being cultivated in Germany - this was a good reason to celebrate!
In 1982 Heinrich Wischmann started his pioneering work trying to cultivate the exotic plant "ginseng" in lower saxonian soil. At that time, no one thought that this could become such a story of success. After he succeeded in overcoming various difficulties in getting the ginseng started, this idea lead to an unique company in Europe - FloraFarm Ginseng!
Meanwhile, the methods of ginseng cultivation have been improved, the fields have been enlarged and therefore, the yields increased. During the entire 25 years FloraFarm always grew high quality ginseng and offered it for fair prices - thus, we also guarantee for the future.
We celebrated this positive trend with our clients and friends during the FloraFarm jubilee 2007 with special offers.
The younger the farmers the bigger the roots!In October, it's time to harvest the six-year-old ginseng roots and of course, the little 3rd-generation-farmers join this yearly event. The ginseng gardens yield a large crop as a lot of big and meaty roots will always be collected in the baskets before they will be forwarded to the next production steps like washing, drying and cutting.
